In Mould Assembly (IMA) / In Mould Closing (IMC)

In-mould assembly has been developed by ERMO in-house. This new technology is covered by several patents.

In the traditional procedure, moulding was performed in two stages followed by one assembly stage to produce a part. ERMO perfected a procedure with only one stage using in-mould assembly technology which enables 2 parts to be assembled in a single mould.

The main advantage of in-mould assembly (IMA) is increased productivity : each cycle produces a finished part. The quality is also higher.
